There's really nothing special about this particular kind of white rice other than it doesn't come in a ready-to-boil bag. It's good, though. If you're going to buy imported rice, this is the stuff! It's the kind we buy, anyway.
Like all good familes who eat mass quantities of the stuff, my family has two rice makers. One's huge and would only be used if there were more than 4 people planning on consumption. The other is a 3 cup version that's perfect for casual rice-making. When I'm home from school I usually subsist on white rice and soy sauce, adding other yummified things to the mixture whenever they become available.
White rice! White rice! White rice! Mmmmmmmm.
