First you take off the waxed paper wrapping. Then you see this little square of powdery, pink goodness - whoa hold on a sec! What's this clear gunk wrapped around my powdery, pink goodness?!! It's like paper but I can't rip it off without shredding it into a bazillion pieces! Oh crap my furious exclamations have left me foaming at the mouth and some of it got on my candy and - wah? The clear gunk is dissolving? What the frick?!!!!!!!!
It's called rice paper you dolt and it doesn't taste half bad. Besides, it dissolves so quick you barely get a chance to remember it's there before you're chewing powdery, pink goodness and getting it stuck in your teeth.
My bro and I gobbled this up when we were little! The stickers are stupid but cute and the candy. . . . I think I initially had issues with the stuff because of the whole inner wrapper thing. I'm over that now and try to get hold of this stuff whenever possible. It's been a couple years now. I sense a run to the local international market forthcoming. . . .
Never eat La Choy soy sauce. It's evil.
